Ohio is known as the "Heart of It All". But what is there really to do in Ohio is something that I have found myself saying a lot since I was a teen. If you asked me what there was to do in Florida I could give you a long list but Ohio I sit here scratching my head with trying to come up with a decent list. I recently received the book 100 Things to Do in Cleveland Before You Die, 2nd Edition to review.

With it being Winter right now I am breaking out this book to see how I can easily keep my children entertained. We all the know what to do in the summer to easily keep kids entertained but Winter is a bit tricker. One of the suggestions in the book is to "Find Frozen Fun at North Coast Harbor Ice Festival". This is a FREE EVENT that takes place on Martin Luther King Jr Day.

Another great thing to check out during the Winter in Cleveland is the Cleveland Metroparks also known as the Emerald Necklace. These parks are a real jewel to the city and cover more than twenty-three thousand acres. One of the best to visit in the winter is The Chalet in the Mill Stream Run Reservation which houses the twin seven-hundred-foot refrigerated toboggan chute that can function without snow.

There are also many great ski resorts around the area as well. If you want to be inside there are many great options as well from museum's to shows at the theatres. If you will be visiting Ohio or live here I would highly recommend picking up this book because it tells about so many great places around Cleveland and things to do.
