One adventure that I never thought I would take would be going gluten free with my family. But when it comes to the health of your family you will easily go on any adventure that comes your way. It is easier for children to go on these adventures then adults in my opinion because children haven't had all the years to become so dependent on certain foods.
In "The Adventure of Celia Kaye" by Kaitlin Puccio it teaches kids that they don't need to be embarrassed about having celiac disease. This book is the latest gluten-free kids books to come out. I love that people are becoming more aware of celiac disease and other allergies that are becoming more common.
This book follows Celia Kaye through her first day at school after being diagnosed with celiac disease. This book has beautiful illustrations that go along with the wonderful message. This story is sure to help children relate to Celia's struggles with how to tell her friends she can no longer eat what they eat anymore.
