Myrtle Beach Safari: TIGERS Experience

While on our Thanksgiving trip to Myrtle Beach, my family got the great pleasure of going to the T.I.G.E.R.S. Experience at the Preservation Station. This was a memory maker that my children will never forget. Angel got to feed an adult tiger, Bubba got to bottle feed a tiger cub, a monkey tried to steal Pumpkins hat and also held hands with Peanut. Since two of my children are under the age of 6 we could not go to the Myrtle Beach Safari tour but we were able to go to the Preservation Station for the T.I.G.E.R.S. Experience they have available for all ages.

While at the Preservation Station we got to feed adult Tigers, hold a tiger cub, bottle feed a cub and hold monkeys. The keepers were happy to talk and answer any questions my husband, kids or I had while we were there. They allowed us to take our time and interact with the animals it was not a quick in and out experience at all. I do highly recommend reserving your time for a meet and greet with the animals ahead of time because the line to do a meet and greet on the fly is typically long. If you schedule ahead of time however, you will get to skip the line of people who did not pre-buy their experience.

Myrtle Beach Safari is like no place on Earth! It is your opportunity to meet and interact with some of the world's most amazing and iconic creatures. You are able to feed an elephant, interact with tiger cubs, watch an eagle soar, monkey around with great apes, and meet the Liger, the world's biggest cat! Myrtle Beach Safari is located on 50 acres of tropical paradise, this unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience can only be found here. The tour is a 3 hour long experience that your family never forget. Like I mentioned above no one under the age of 6 is allowed on the tour no exceptions. If you do have a little one then I recommend visiting the Preservation Station for a animal encounter. There are 5 different tour options available that you can choose from so you get the experience you are looking for.

The Preservation Station is located at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach and is a free living tiger exhibit. While at the Preservation Station you can get nose to nose with a 500 pound adult tiger. You are able to view these beautiful creatures with only glass between you and them, so you can look them right in the eyes. Oh and they have some beautiful blue eyes! You also get the opportunity to interact with tiger cubs, apes and more! The animals at the Preservation Station vary on a daily basis so if you are wanting a meet and great with a certain type I recommend calling and checking their schedule. When you purchase your meet and greet/animal encounter your price includes ONE 8x10 photograph PER GROUP. You also have the opportunity to purchase additional prints as well as a photo upload that will include all the photos taken during your encounter.

Myrtle Beach Safari is currently closed until March of 2018 while the animals take a break in Florida. Once they return they will be at the Myrtle Beach Safari Tour and Preservation Station from March through the end of November. Just like you and me, the animals need a vacation and time to relax as well. All proceeds go directly to support international wildlife conservation projects through the Rare Species Fund, and to the care and maintenance of their animal ambassadors.
