One thing that our family has been trying to do more of is family devotions. It is Mr Anderson and I's job to bring these children up to be good stewards for the Lord. It is not our churches job or their school's job to teach them everything they need to know.  Psalm 22:6 (KJV) says "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." I recently received a set of Family Devotionals by David C Cook to review with my family.

I know that finding time in the day to read devotionals with our children can seem impossible at time. We have found that reading them at dinner and before bed work well for us. I also have friends that have found doing them at breakfast works well for their family. Each family is different so we all need to sit down and find what works best for our families.

I really like that these devotions are brief, we all know children do not have long attention spans for books without pictures. I also like knowing that I am bringing life-changing truth to my family. Each of the devotions opens with scripture, followed by poetic reflections. Each devotion also has a section for the parent as well as a question for the child, which helps provide a launching point for life situations.

You are able to purchase these wonderful devotionals Knowing God the Father,  Knowing Jesus and Knowing the Holy Spirit on Amazon! These are all great books to add to your families spiritual library!
