One thing that I enjoy doing is cooking as does my mother in law, but she learning to cook for two instead of 4+. This has been tricky for her so I am excited to be able to give her a wonderful cookbook for Christmas that will help her. I am giving her the Fix-It and Forget-It Cooking for Two: 150 Small-Batch Slow Cooker Recipes.

Family Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach 2017

My family was given the wonderful opportunity to spend our 2017 Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach at the Crown Reef Resort through Vacation Myrtle Beach. With us being such a large family it is hard to find hotels and resorts that can adequately fit us all in one room. I was very pleased with our Oceanfront Suite at the Crown Reef Resort. The room was very spacious as it had a fully equipped kitchen, 2 queen beds, a sleeper sofa, a Murphy/wall bed, in room-safe and more which made it big and perfect for my big family. Our room also had a balcony that over looked the ocean where we were able to sit and watch dolphins play one day. I liked that they had protective covers on the beds to protect against bed bugs. With so many people coming in and you never know what they bring with them I liked seeing the protective covers.

One thing that I love is eating fresh vegetables especially ones from my in-laws garden. I also love finding new and delicious recipes to use them in as well. I am not sure why but my family had never really grilled our veggies. But now thanks to Cave Tools we are grilling our veggies as well and they are delicious!

CrockPot Thursdays: Ranch Roast w/ Veggies

It has been awhile since I have posted a Crockpot Thursday recipe and miss doing them. I love cooking and utilizing my crockpot because it saves me so much time. With having 5 children, a hubby that works 2 jobs, homework, church activities and more I am a busy mom. So finding time to cook my family a healthy meal everyday can become overwhelming but thanks to my crockpot it can be super easy. I do a monthly meal calendar and the majority of the meals are things cooked in the crockpot. This week I am sharing my Ranch Roast with Veggies Recipe with you.

Spice Up Your Date Night

With having 5 children date nights do not come that often for us. But typically when we do get them it is the same thing, we go to dinner and a movie. I am not sure about you but I get tired of doing the same thing over and over. I like to spice things up and try new things other then just new restaurants every now and then.

I am always looking for ways to kick up my cooking and add some new delicious flavors to my meals. Recently I received a TABASCO Large Gift Box set to review with my family. I do not typically use hot sauce in my cooking unless it is call for in the recipe because I can not handle spicy foods. But I am always willing to try something new as well and since I got the Gift Box it had several different flavors for me and my family to try out other then just the normal Hot.
