Watcharee Sauce

 

 My husband loves Thai food. I have never tried it. I was given 4 jars of Thai sauce from Watcharee to try and they were delicious. I have to admit, I had no idea what to cook with it. Well, I was in luck. I got onto the website and they have recipes for each of the sauces. We love chicken so I was in luck when I found the recipe for Chicken Massaman Curry. If I knew this is what Thai food was like, I would have tried it sooner.

LEGO KidFest in Cleveland, Oh

Recently LEGO KidFest  made a stop in Cleveland, OH and we had the opportunity to go and check it out. We made it a trip for just the boys while the girls stayed with their Nana, Papa and Uncle Jesse for the evening. We didn't tell the boys where they were going so they played the guessing game the whole way to the event. They were so excited when they saw the sign for LEGO KidFest but were bummed when they saw it was sold out. Needless to say I came to the rescue when I pulled out tickets along with a piece of mail that they had received prompting the event that they didn't realize I had kept. Since I kept the flyer they were able to receive a special gift from the LEGO club table.

I know a lot of people lately have been looking for ways to help treat ailments without needing prescription medicine. I know personally I am the type of person who hates taking medicine for anything. I think there are more natural (holistic) ways to take care of our bodies. There are ways to heal our bodies and minds without using prescription drugs. If you think back to the beginnings they used plants and herbs as medicine and had success. I know not every ailment can be treated without prescriptions so please consult a doctor before doing anything. Kalahari Review

 

My family and I recently had the chance to go to Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio before the weather turned too cold. When we got up the day of the trip it was a little rainy and cool so we were worried we wouldn't be able to enjoy any of the outdoor amenities. Luckily while driving there we drove out of the rain and it warmed up a little to be in the 70's but in the sun it felt nice still nice enough to be in the water outside.

Nielsen-Massey Vanillas (Brownie Recipe)

 

One thing that I have always loved is baking for my friends and family. I love experimenting with new flavors and recipes. Nielsen Massey Vanillas allow me to do just that with my baking. I love all the different flavors of vanillas and extracts that Nielsen Massey offers. I also have to say that their Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla is delicious one of my favorites. I recently received their Pure Chocolate Extract to try and made gluten free brownies using. (Recipe Below) The brownies came out delicious, moist and perfect.

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo

 

Recently on our trip to Florida we got to go and visit Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo. I remember going to this zoo as a child and loving it then. It has changed a lot in the 20 years since I have been there but only in a good way. We were hoping that the rain wouldn't hit us while we were there but it did. Which most people would think would cool things off... nope not in Florida. But that's OK the kids loved getting wet and acting silly in the rain.

Well since our family vacation for this year is over I have already started to plan our trip for next year. I am sure you can guess where it will be too... This trip not only will be a vacation but also Jake and I's time to scope out some areas of possibly moving to. I grew up in Bradenton, FL and loved it my mom owns a home in Hudson, Fl though she is currently in Ohio with me. I never dreamed that it would be 20 years before I would be able to step foot in Florida again and I must say it has been a long 20 years.

With planning our trip one thing I will be looking into are flights to Tampa. Though we will be staying south of Tampa it is easier to fly into there and drive down the rest of the way. It also gives me an excuse to visit my cousin in Tampa and take the kids to visit some really cool places also. Can you feel my excitement?? I am about ready to just jump in my car and head for the airport I am so ready to be on this trip.

Doesn't that picture look awesome?? Oh how I love Florida and all the fun and sun that goes along with it. This next year will be longest I am sure just because I am so excited about this trip and I hope that it will end up being a trip that can make my dreams come true.

Newly Renovated Hotel Breakers {Sandusky, Ohio}

 

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a fan of living in Ohio, but there are some perks to living here. One being that we are close to Cedar Point, The Roller Coaster Capital of the World! My husband and oldest son absolutely love roller coasters and are always trying to get me on them. They were thrilled when they found out about Rougarou, a new floorless roller coaster. 

Weekend Getaway at Castaway Bay

 

When the temps are cold outside and you just can't get outside to play what do you do for fun with your family? Well if you are like me and DO NOT like the cold weather AT ALL you sit inside cooped up going crazy with kids that have a bunch of stored energy. Which makes you go crazy because there is only so much you can do to keep 4 kids busy inside a home. Luckily for us Ohio has some great indoor water-parks within a short driving distance from our home. So we surprised the kids with a surprise weekend getaway at Castaway Bay.
